Anzac Day in class

Hi bloggers. On Wednesday our teachers put strings all over the furniture in two classrooms. It was No Mans Land. First we did a basic facts test under the gunfire sounds. Second we did Anzac Maths it was about Anzac Day question. After that we ate some fruit we did some exercise the exercise was push ups. We did some letters that we were actually at the war and a poem of a word. It was morning tea after morning tea some people went swimming the people that were not swimming stayed and carried on. But we did pictodraw of Gallipoli. At the end of the day we had to take the strings off with blindfolds! But we had buddies. Phew! We got turns doing it.I felt so happy!

Tsunami alert

Hi bloggers last last Friday there was a tsunami alert. At 2 o'clock there was a earthquake, and at 4 o'clock there was another earthquake at 9 o'clock there was the last earthquake. There was a tsunami alert for the North Auckland. People that were near the earthquake side had to get out of their houses and go far and high up a hill or mountain. You had to have a first aid kit especially food and water. They had to stay there until it was fine for them to go back to their houses, some had to stay at peoples houses till they could go home.
There didn't end up being tsunami, but there were surges of water.
This got us thinking about what we need in an emergency pack.
First aid kit, phone, radio, sunscreen, charger, battery, torch batteries umbrella, warm clothes, food and water.

Blog you later bloggers!

My favorite  school activity was kahoot.  My favorite family activity was doing a drawing competition. I feel happy back at school because I can meet my friends.

Mangere Mountain

This term we went to Mangere Mountain. We learned about kawakawa balm and about the leaves that we can make medicine with, also we learned about a kowhai tree. I liked  the walk up the mountain because it was my first time walking up a mountain. Something I could change is being more careful walking up the mountain because I was slipping.

Lego Workshop

Hi, this term we went to a Lego workshop. We learned how to use Lego to make things like big space ships and a huge farm. I liked that we could put some people on the animals in Lego. I liked that the crocodiles could open their mouths so we can put some people in to get eaten. Next time I could make a bigger farm.

Comic strip

Since we came back from lock-down we have been learning to create a comic strip. For this activity we had to get images from the web. I liked getting the images and moving the characters. Next time I could move the horse running and saving the cow.
